Production of the MZ ETZ250 was between 1983-1990.
They were manufactured at the East German Factory of MZ (Motorradwerke Zschopau) which was originally the factory for DKW before World War II. The 250 was designed to be a rugged utilitarian machine.
The pictures you see are of a 1983 MZ ETZ250F now retired from the Volkspolizei Kreisant, Stendal, Germany.
